Amy Leveto MA, NCC, LPC is a nationally certified and licensed professional nuerodivergent counselor trained in EMDR. Amy has also worked in many areas in the mental health field addressing areas such as addiction, ACOA issues, codependency, boundaries, assertive communication, relationships, sexuality, family, divorce, loss, chronic illness, dying, death, spirituality, abuse and trauma. Amy has counseled adults dealing with anxiety, adjustment disorders, depression, bereavement, bipolar, borderline personality disorder, substance use disorder and dual diagnosis, PTSD, schizophrenia, and schizoaffective disorder. Amy has an integrative and eclectic approach to the therapeutic process, intuitively using whatever modality in her tool belt that fits with the person. Her baseline is fundamentally influenced by the theoretical orientations of trauma-focused, ego-states/internal family systems (parts work), person-centered, spiritual and existential therapy.

Amy graduated from Edinboro University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology and an additional focus on Philosophy. She then returned to Edinboro University for her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Amy grew up as a middle child in Northwestern Pennsylvania with her parents and two sisters. Amy enjoys spending time with her partner Michael, their son Leo, loved ones, 4 cats, 3 dogs and 2 horses. She enjoys research and study, gardening, nature, astrology, spirituality, listening to music, playing the piano, a good meal, going to musical concerts, feeding and watching wildlife outside her windows, quiet and stillness, the sound of the wind through the trees, different healing modalities, taking care of both indoor and outdoor plants, going for drives in the country, fast cars, and dreaming of ways in which to build, pursue and live the life she wants.
